Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles (MSMU) recently completed its 9th President’s Pilgrimage to Le Puy, with its largest group to date. A total of 28 pilgrims spent nine days exploring the origins of our founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The pilgrims included MSMU faculty and staff, along with three CSJs (Carol Quinlivan, Celia DuRea, Mary Catherine Siminski) as well as several colleagues from fellow SJEM member institutions, including Carondelet High School and St. Joseph’s Academy. We were also joined by Martha Malinski of the Association of Colleges of Sisters of St. Joseph (ACSSJ). Highlights included a beautiful picnic lunch at the home of Mother St. John Fontbonne in Bas-en-Basset (owned by MSMU), as well as a visit to the original Kitchen, the heart of the founding of the Sisters.
