Dear Partners, Leaders, and Friends in Mission,
What an exciting time it is for St. Joseph Educational Ministries! I am beyond delighted to have joined this wonderful movement in the Church and CSJ sponsored ministries, one that is brave and innovative on behalf of the Sisters of St. Joseph (CSJs).
To be a lay person working in Catholic education for over twenty years, I have a sincere interest and care for its flourishing as it educates the whole person for the purpose of a better world.
The CSJs charism of unifying love informs, shapes, and accompanies all of us in this endeavor because “together…we are more.”
SJEM has been busy working on processes and reflective materials for the use of sponsored ministries to support and inspire the mission of our educational institutions and their Catholic identities.
I have been able to travel to meet many of our constituents and deepen our relationships with our greater CSJ community.
As SJEM continues to develop, we hope to serve our sponsored institutions through an abundance of offerings in a variety of ways. This newsletter, distributed quarterly, will always include information connected to sponsorship, Catholic identity, and of course, mission. Resources, reflections, and institutional sharing will provide a cross section of materials and inspiration for our institutions to draw from.
If there is ever a way that SJEM can meet a need or serve your community, please reach out and let me know. Our aim is to be of service, support, and in relationship so that the ongoing movement “toward a profound love of God and love of neighbor without distinction,” is more abundantly lived through our works and our lives.
