Retired President of St. Teresa’s Academy • Strategic Plan Consultant for Catholic and Private Schools
Nan worked in education for 45 years before retiring in 2019 as president of St. Teresa’s Academy, her alma mater. During her twelve years at the Academy, she led three successful capital campaigns, raising 30 million dollars for a new chapel, track/field, endowment and new addition onto a current building. Currently, she owns a strategic planning business where she works with schools to help them envision and create a plan for their future. Nan serves on many nonprofit boards in Kansas City to helps them raise needed funds for their organizations.
Connection to the CSJs and their sponsored ministries
Nan attended St. Teresa’s Academy High School and was taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph. They formed her values and instilled in her a love of education. During the last 12 years of her career, she served as President of St. Teresa’s Academy. The Academy’s identity with the Sisters of St. Joseph has given it a special spirit at the center of women’s education in Kansas City. Nan became a CSJ Associate in 2012. She received the Generosity of Joseph award in 2019. She was also part of the original team who worked with the leadership team of CSJs to begin the transition process to the Saint Joseph Educational Ministry (SJEM).
